Eimke is a municipality in the middle of the Lüneburg Heath in the district of Uelzen , Lower Saxony . The municipality of Eimke is part of the Suderburg municipality .

Eimke is located in the Lüneburg Heath . The central town of Eimke is traversed by the Ilmenau tributary Gerdau , whose tributary Häsebach rises in the Dreilingen district.

history
The first written mention of the main town Eimke comes from the year 1148 . But there are testimonies from the Stone and Bronze Ages such as B. Finds of flint tools , axes made of rock and about two dozen barrows .

Culture and sights
Village church
St. Marien was built from field stones. The wooden church tower was added during the Thirty Years' War . The furnishings include a Pietà , a prieche from 1677 with carvings and an organ from 1870 with eleven stops from the workshop of Folkert Becker from Hanover.
The place Brambostel also belongs to the parish of Eimke.
