Lüder is a municipality in the middle of the Lüneburg Heath in the district of Uelzen , Lower Saxony . Since November 1, 2011, it has been part of the Aue Samtgemeinde based in Wrestedt . The previous joint municipality of Bodenteich was dissolved.

Lüder lies between the Elbe Lateral Canal and extensive forest areas. In the immediate vicinity is the Schweimker Moor with rare bird and plant life.
Community structure
The communities Langenbrügge , Reinstorf and Röhrsen as well as the residential areas Neu Lüder and Waldhof belong to the municipality Lüder .
history
Lüder, the old Hlutherun , appears as early as 1006 in a document by which King Heinrich II confirmed the ownership of the village to the Ullissen monastery (Oldenstadt, Uelzen). Approx. 300 years later the name Hlutherun has changed to "Ludere".
On July 1, 1972, the communities of Langenbrügge, Reinstorf and Röhrsen were incorporated.
In 2006 Lüder celebrated its millennium. The third part of the 1000 year celebration took place on 7./8. October 2006.

- St. Bartholomew Church , originally a pilgrimage church (1373), ev., Rectangular brick building, west tower from 1434. Altar (middle of the 17th century), wooden ceiling.
