Soltendieck has been a municipality within the integrated municipality of Aue since November 1, 2011, with its seat in Wrestedt in the district of Uelzen , Lower Saxony and is located in the Lüneburg Heath . The previous joint municipality of Bodenteich was dissolved.
Community structure
The municipality of Soltendieck consists of Soltendieck and the villages of Bockholt , Heuerstorf , Kakau , Kattien , Müssingen , Thielitz and Varbitz .
Incorporations
On July 1, 1972, the communities of Bockholt, Heuerstorf, Kakau, Kattien, Müssingen, Thielitz and Varbitz were incorporated.

Clubs, culture and sights
The Protestant Christ Chapel Soltendieck was built in 1973.
The stone oven, presumably built in 1770, was last used commercially in the 1960s and in 1973 it was saved from deterioration and restored. Once a year it is the focus of the Soltendiecker Steinbackofenfest.
In 1927, the sports club, which was mainly focused on football, was founded. Today the Soltendieck gymnastics and sports club has around 330 members, is registered as a non-profit association and offers an extensive sports program, especially for children and young people.
