Wu Ken
Wu Ken ( Chinese 吴 恳 , Pinyin Wú Kěn ; * 1961 in Hunan ) is a Chinese diplomat .
Wu Ken began his diplomatic career as a staff member at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China . After completing his postgraduate studies at the University of Frankfurt , he served as an attaché in the department for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe . In 1990 he became attaché and third secretary at the Chinese embassy in Germany . From 1993 to 1998, he held the positions of 3rd Secretary, Deputy Sector Head, and Sector Head in the Human Resources Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China. In 1998 he was appointed counselor at the Chinese embassy in Austria . From 2001 to 2007, Wu Ken served first as deputy head and later as head of the human resources department of the Chinese Foreign Ministry. From 2007 to 2019, Wu Ken was Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Austria. Wu has been the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Federal Republic of Germany since March 27, 2019.
