The joint municipality of Aue is a joint municipality in the south of the district of Uelzen , Lower Saxony . Its name refers to the river Aue , which flows through the Samtgemeinde. About 12,500 people live in the municipality.

In addition to the Samtgemeinderathaus in Wrestedt, a citizens' office in Burgstr. 8 in 29389 Bad Bodenteich.

history

It was created on November 1, 2011 from the merger of the Bodenteich municipality with the Wrestedt municipality , whose member municipalities also merged to form the Wrestedt municipality. The state of Lower Saxony paid debt relief of around 10.6 million euros for the merger of the previous integrated communities.
