Groß Süstedt is a district of the Gerdau municipality in the Suderburg municipality in the Uelzen district . This is in the northeast of Lower Saxony .
The place is northwest of the core area of Gerdau. The B 71 runs on the southern outskirts .
On the western edge which opens Schwienau into Gerdau , to the southwest extends the 398 ha large nature reserve Mönchbruch .
The Protestants of Groß Süstedt belong to the catchment area of the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Gerdau with the St. Michaeliskirche .
