Titus Statilius Taurus Corvinus
Titus Statilius Taurus Corvinus was a Roman politician and senator .
Corvinus was a son of Titus Statilius Taurus , who had been an ordinary consul in 11 , and grandson of the speaker Marcus Valerius Messalla Corvinus on his mother's side , from whom he received the second nickname Corvinus . His brother was Titus Statilius Taurus , who became consul a year before him.
In 45 Corvinus became a full consul. The following year he was involved in a conspiracy against Claudius and survived its failure by a year or more (between 46 and 50). Corvinus was a brother of the Arval and a member of the priestly college of the Quindecimviri sacris faciundis .
