Tobias Marhold

Tobias Marhold (born October 3, 1969 in Wernigerode ) is a former member of the German Bundestag ( SPD ), to which he belonged in the fourteenth and fifteenth legislative periods from 1998 to 2005.

Life

Tobias Marhold attended the Polytechnic High School "Thomas-Müntzer" in Wernigerode from 1976 to 1986 , where he graduated from secondary school . He then completed an apprenticeship as a skilled worker for machine tools by 1988 . In 1989 he became an employee of the "Evangelical Feierabendheim Sonneck-Harzfriede" in Wernigerode, before he traveled to the Netherlands via Hungary in the summer of 1989 and from there to the Federal Republic of Germany . After the fall of the Berlin Wall , he returned to the GDR and worked for the city ​​administration in his hometown from 1991 to 1995 .

Marhold joined the SPD in 1992 and began training as an administrative clerk in the same year . He exercised various functions at local and district level of the SPD and in 1995 became SPD regional manager in the Harz region . In 1994 he was elected to the Wernigerode district council.

In the 1998 Bundestag elections , he won his constituency Harz and Vorharzgebiet with 44.1% and obtained the direct mandate . After he was re-elected in 2002, he left the German Bundestag in 2005.
