Toe is a Japanese band. Although often assigned to the post-rock genre, their music is very similar to that of many math rock bands.

Toe consists of Takashi Kashikura ( 柏 倉 隆 史 ) on drums, Takaaki Mino ( 美濃 隆 章 ) and Hirokazu Yamazaki ( 山 嵜 廣 和 ) on guitar, and Satoshi Yamane ( 山根 さ と し ) on electric bass. This line-up has not changed since it was founded in 2000.

Together with the bands Mouse on the Keys and Enemies , they are part of the small independent label Machu Pichu, which was originally founded by some members toes.

Most of their music is instrumental, but in some pieces they are accompanied by the Japanese singer Toki Asako . Toe's sound is mainly characterized by Takashi's fast and precise playing and the melodic guitar riffs of Takaakis and Hirokazu. The frequent changes in tempo and rhythm, which give her compositions their unique style, are also very striking. Over the past few years they have expanded their sound using acoustic guitars , Rhodes pianos and vibraphones .

The group tours regularly across Japan and can mostly be compared to bands like The Album Leaf and Pele .
