Toecutter is an Australian thrash and death metal band from Hampton Park , which was founded in 1991 under the name Hatred , disbanded in 2000 and has been active again since 2009.

history

The band was founded in 1991 as a solo project by guitarist Mark Woolley after leaving Hobbs' Angel of Death . A short time later, however, the singer Shane "SAtanic" McWirter, the drummer Jason Blacksoul and the former Hobbs' Angel of Death member David Frew (bass, synthesizer) joined the team. Woolley also took over the vocals. In 1993 the demo Unusual Punishment was released . After Blacksoul left the band in 1995, he was briefly replaced by Chris Phillips before McWirter took over this position. Before the album could be completed, McWirter died of an electric shock in 1996. The album was self- released that same year under the name Faces in the Dirt . The sound carrier contains both studio and live recordings. The studio recordings were made in the Back Beach Studios under the direction of DW Norton . The following year Theron Rennison joined as a further guitarist. In 1999 the group changed its name to Toecutter. Meanwhile, Warren Davies was the drummer in the cast.

The following year the band was to be seen at the Metal for the Brain , then it came to the breakup. 2001 the debut album Lost Culture was released as a self- publication . After a single appearance in 2003, the group has been permanently active again since 2009. In 2011 a self-titled album was released, which is only a re-release of Lost Culture .
