Toftrute
The Toftrute , also Tofftrute, was a measure of area in Hadersleben . The toftrute was another name for the somewhat smaller demat (land measure). The origin of the term probably goes back to a piece of land on the farm where pasture or green forage was possible. The basis was the rod size of 18 feet (Schleswig-Holst.).
