The TOGU GmbH is a German manufacturer of air-filled sports and therapy equipment based in Prien am Chiemsee . According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Munich and Upper Bavaria, the company was the German market leader for game balls and small air-filled fitness equipment in 2007 with over 100 employees .
history
The company was founded by the brothers Toni and Gust Obermaier in 1956. They had previously succeeded in producing the world's first plastic ball without a seam. The rotation casting process was used for this. A typical weak point was avoided due to the lack of a seam. Since then, the TOGU process has also been used for other products, particularly in the areas of sports and therapy.
Product areas
TOGU produces match balls as well as balls and air-filled training devices for sports and therapy. Due to the development of the PVC- based Crylon, TOGU is also known in particular for burst-proof balls . The production takes place exclusively in Germany.
