Tohopesate

The term Tohopesate (“the assembling”, cf. zuhauf ) means the amalgamation of some cities that can be described as Hanseatic cities in the late Middle Ages, especially in the 15th century. The Tohopesate served as a Hanseatic alliance to defend against a military-political opponent in order to ultimately secure trade. They were mostly discussed and decided by the Hanseatic Days .
