Tokmak-Ata is a former island in the Aral Sea in Uzbekistan . The city of Mujnak was on it . With the sinking of the water level of the Aral Sea from 1964 as a result of the abstraction of water to irrigate arable land, Tokmak-Ata was connected to the land and became a peninsula. In the mid-1990s, Tokmak-Ata was a peninsula in the south of the Aral Sea .
