Tom Spencer
Thomas Newnham Bayley Spencer (* 10. April 1948 in Nottingham ) is a British politician of the Conservative Party .
Life
Spencer graduated from the University of Southampton . From 1979 to 1984 and from 1989 to 1999 Spencer was a member of the European Parliament . He was Head of the British Conservatives in the European Parliament from 1995 to 1998 and Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Security and Defense Policy from 1997 to 1999.
Spencer is married to Liz Spencer. In 1999, Spencer came out as gay when he was caught by police at Heathrow Airport with cannabis cigarettes. It became known in the British press that Spencer had a relationship with the American porn actor Cole Tucker .
