Tom and Tommy

Tom and Tommy were a singing duo of the German Schlager of the post-war period . It consisted of the singers Curt Stephan and Richard Gatermann, both of whom were previously members of the Roland Trio .

Band history

The two singers were produced by Werner Cyprys . The duo landed a top ten success in the German charts with their debut single Eine Handvoll Heimaterde , a very typical ballad, influenced by American western songs, full of wanderlust and homesickness. Overall, the recording lasted eight months in the music market hit parade.

A few more, but no longer commercially successful singles followed. Stephan and Gatermann later became members of the tramps .
