Tomma Schröder

Tomma Schröder is a freelance journalist from Flensburg . Her main focus is on science and society.

education

From 2000 to 2005, Schröder studied Slavic and literary studies at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel , in the meantime also in 2003/04 Russian language and literature at the State University of Irkutsk , Russia . She then worked as a language assistant at the Goethe-Institut in Chernivtsi , Ukraine , from September 2005 to May 2006 . From 2007 to 2009 an internship at the Schleswig-Holstein newspaper publisher followed .

Professional Activities

Schröder has been working as a freelancer for print media and German public service broadcasting such as Deutschlandfunk since 2009, as well as for the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Rostock.

Since 2011, she has been the author of eight issues of the program Wissenschaft im Brennpunkt as well as numerous science reports in the program Forschungs aktuell .
