Tommy Herzog

Tommy Herzog (born March 25, 1977 ) is a former Swiss bobsleigh athlete .

He started bobsleigh in 1999 and joined the Swiss national team in 2002. He was junior Swiss champion in two-man bobsleigh and vice-Swiss champion in four-man. The first major international success was fourth place with the four at the World Cup in Lake Placid in 2005. In the 2007/08 Bobsleigh World Cup he made two podiums with third place in St. Moritz and third place in Königsee. He achieved his greatest success with the two at the 2007 Bobsleigh World Championship . As a pusher for Ivo Rüegg , he won the silver medal. In September and October 2008 he was tested positive for testosterone in doping controls and banned for two years.
