Ivo Rüegg

Ivo Rüegg (born April 15, 1971 ) is a former Swiss bobsleigh driver .

He started bobsleigh in 1995. In 2000 he joined the Swiss national team. Ivo Rüegg won five medals at world championships and six at European championships. Together with his top pushers Roman Handschin and Cedric Grand, Ivo Rüegg won the coveted overall World Cup in 2010 with the 2-man bob. Rüegg also had successes in the decathlon . In national gymnastics and stone throwing he was multiple Swiss champion. In May 2010 he announced his resignation.
