Jannis Bäcker (born January 1, 1985 in Unna ) is a German bobsleigh driver .

Career

At the 2013 European Bobsleigh Championships , Jannis Bäcker and pilot Francesco Friedrich won the bronze medal in the two-man bobsleigh. A few days later, the duo became world champions at the World Championships in St. Moritz . With the same crew, Bäcker made his Olympic debut at the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi and achieved eighth place with Friedrich. In the four-man bobsleigh with Gregor Bermbach and Thorsten Margis , Friedrich and Bäcker took tenth place.
