Stephan Waser

Stephan Waser (born March 10, 1920 - June 19, 1992 ) was a Swiss bobsleigh driver . Between 1947 and 1952 he was one of the pushers for Fritz Feierabend .

Feierabend and Waser celebrated their first major success at the 1947 Bobsleigh World Championship in St. Moritz, when they won their first title in the two-man bobsleigh after the Second World War . After Waser was not considered for the 1948 Olympic Games, he did not return until 1950. At the 1950 World Bobsleigh Championship in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Feierabend and Waser won the two-man bobsleigh ahead of Stanley Benham's US bobsleigh . In the four-man bobsleigh , Benham and his team won before Fritz Feierabend, Albert Madörin , Remi Spada and Stephan Waser. At the end of his sporting career, Stephan Waser took part in the 1952 Olympic Games in Oslo. The team of German bobsleigh pilot Andreas Ostler won both in the two-man and four-man bobsleigh ahead of Stanley Benham's team. After work and Waser were in both the two-man and four-man bobsleigh a second behind Benham in third place, in the four-man bobsleigh Albert Madörin and André Filippini belonged to the bronze team.
