Renato Mocellini (born April 2, 1929 in Vahrn ; † November 9, 1985 ) was an Italian bobsleigh driver from South Tyrol .
Career
Renato Mocellini, who grew up in Sterzing , is said to have learned to bobsleigh on the Jaufenpass road in winter .
At the Olympic Winter Games in Cortina d'Ampezzo in 1956 Renato Mocellini won the silver medal in a time of 5: 12.10 in the team with Eugenio Monti , Ulrico Girardi and Renzo Alverà ; The winner was the Swiss bobsleigh.
At the 1958 Bobsleigh World Championship in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , he won the bronze medal in the four-man bobsleigh with Sergio Zardini , Alberto Righini and Massimo Bogana . At the 1963 Bobsleigh World Championship in Igls , he became world champion in the four-man bobsleigh with Romano Bonagura , Sergio Zardini and Ferruccio Dalla Torre .
