Robert Alt (bobsledder)

Robert Alt (born January 2, 1927 in Glion ; † December 4, 2017 ) was a Swiss bobsleigh driver who was 1956 Olympic champion in the four-man bobsleigh .

Career

At the 1955 Bobsleigh World Championship , Robert Alt won the four-man bobsleigh title together with Franz Kapus , Gottfried Diener and Heinrich Angst . A year later, the Swiss won the 1956 Olympic Games in Cortina d'Ampezzo with this line-up.

Robert Alt ended his athletic career after the 1956 Olympic Games.

Alt died on December 4, 2017 at the age of 90.
