Nion Robert Tucker (born August 21, 1885 in Suisun City , California , † April 22, 1950 in San Francisco ) was an American bobsledder and entrepreneur .

Tucker studied at the University of California and worked as an investment broker from 1909. In 1920 he became CEO of Bond, Goodwin & Tucker . He took part in the 1928 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz and won the gold medal in the five-man bobsleigh.

In 1929 Tucker was involved in founding United Airlines , which was formed through the merger of several small airlines. He later served on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Chronicle . From 1946 he worked as a cattle breeder and organized numerous cattle and horse exhibitions. He made the Cow Palace in San Francisco one of the leading providers of events of this kind.
