Manuel Heide (born May 13, 1955 in Berlin ) is a Berlin politician ( CDU ). From 1985 to 2016 he was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives .

Life and study

Manuel Heide passed his Abitur in 1974 at the Humboldt-Gymnasium (Berlin-Tegel) and completed a law degree at the Free University of Berlin (FU) directly afterwards until 1980 . He completed this in 1983 with the second state examination in law. Before that, he worked from 1980 to 1981 as a research assistant in the law department of the university. He has been working as a lawyer since 1983 and also as a notary in an international law firm since 1994 . In 1987 he completed his doctorate as Dr. iur. at the Free University of Berlin.

Manuel Heide (MdA) joined the CDU in 1973 and was a member of the district council assembly in Reinickendorf from 1981 to 1985 . Until 2013 he was chairman of the CDU local association Heiligensee and handed over this function to the CDU parliamentary group chairman in the town hall Reinickendorf, Stephan Schmidt.

Since April 1985 he has been a member of the Berlin House of Representatives. In the state elections in 2011 he was re-elected to the Berlin House of Representatives with 43.6% of the vote through the Reinickendorf 3 constituency. As a member of the executive committee of the CDU parliamentary group, he takes on the role of treasurer. Heide was elected chairman of the standing committee for urban development and the environment for the current legislative period.

Heide did not run for the House of Representatives again in the state elections on September 18, 2016. Stephan Schmidt was nominated as a candidate for the CDU for the Reinickendorf 3 constituency .
