Edward Patrick Francis "Eddie" Eagan (born April 26, 1897 in Denver , † June 14, 1967 in Rye , New York ) was an American athlete.

He made himself a legend in the winter of 1932 when he, like Gillis Grafström , won gold medals at both winter and summer games. These two exceptional athletes are the only athletes to date to have achieved this feat, with Grafström winning both gold medals in figure skating while Eagan won his medals in two different sports.

In 1920 Eagan won precious metal in light heavyweight boxing in Antwerp and won gold in the four-man bobsleigh twelve years later for William Fiske's team .

With Boxgold 1920 and Bobgold 1932, Edward Eagan is also one of only six athletes who were able to win a medal at both the Winter and Summer Olympics; the others, alongside Gillis Grafström, are Jacob Tullin Thams , Christa Luding-Rothenburger , Clara Hughes and Lauryn Williams .
