Donat Acklin

Donat Acklin (born June 6, 1965 in Herznach ) is a former Swiss bobsleigh driver and two-time Olympic champion .

At the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary , Acklin narrowly missed the medal ranks and finished the competition in the two-man bobsleigh in fourth place.

At the 1991 World Championships in Altenberg , he and Gustav Weder won silver in the two-man bobsleigh and a year later, also together with Weder, at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, he won gold in the two-man bobsleigh and bronze in the four-man bobsleigh . In 1993 he won gold in the two-man bobsleigh and gold in the four-man bobsleigh. A year later, he won gold in the men's two-man bobsleigh and silver in the men's four-man bobsleigh with Weder at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer .
