Kevin Korona (born June 28, 1988 in Nuremberg ) is a German bobsleigh athlete and former athlete .

Career

Korona had to give up his career as a long jumper due to an injury and then turned to bobsleigh. In 2015 he was Maximilian Arndt's pusher, together with Alexander Rödiger and Ben Heber , becoming world champion in the four-man bobsleigh. At the European Championships in the same year he was fifth in the four-man bobsleigh. A year later he became European champion in the four-man bobsleigh with Maximilian Arndt, Martin Putze and Ben Heber . The title defense narrowly failed in 2017 , with Nico Walther as the pilot and Kevin Kuske and Eric Franke , Korona took second place. At the World Cup he was third with this team.

He studied sport and economics at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg .
