Alexander Metzger (bobsleigh driver)

Alexander Metzger (born February 22, 1973 in Rudolstadt ) is a German bobsleigh driver .

Metzger is a sports soldier in the German Armed Forces and competes for BSC Winterberg . The pushers have been active in bobsleigh since 1997 . The Kleinmachnower first competed in Christoph Langen's bobsleigh, with whom he became world champion in the four-man bobsleigh in 2001 and was thus able to celebrate his greatest success. After Langen's career ended, he switched to René Spies' bobsleigh . After Spies ended his career in 2007, he switched to André Lange's team . In the 2006 Olympic Games of Turinhe finished fifth in the four-man bobsleigh competition in René Spies' bobsleigh. At the European Championships he came second in 2001, third in 2003 and fifth in 2006, both in the four-man bobsleigh. In 2006 he won the German championship with Spies.
