Alexander Kopacz (born January 26, 1990 in London (Ontario) ) is a Canadian bobsleigh athlete .

Career

Alexander Kopacz switched from athletics to bobsleigh in 2013 as a shot putter. In the 2014/15 season he entered the World Cup as a pusher for Chris Spring's four-man bobsleigh . In the following season he reached the first podium in the World Cup in Justin Kripps' four-man bobsleigh .

In the 2017/18 season , Kopacz and Justin Kripps won the overall World Cup in two. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he also won the gold medal in the two-man bobsleigh with Justin Kripps.
