Tongjiao Temple
The Tongjiao Temple ( Chinese 通 教 寺 , Pinyin Tōngjiào sì ) is an important Buddhist temple in Beijing . It was built during the Ming Dynasty . The temple is located in the small Zhenxian Hutong Alley in the Dongcheng District near Dongzhimen and is a Buddhist nunnery.
It is one of the national focus temples of Buddhism in Han Chinese areas .
