The TopCC AG based in Gossau is a Swiss Abholmarkt chain for large consumers. It is a subsidiary of SPAR Holding and operates eleven cash-and-carry stores for catering , retail and business customers in German-speaking Switzerland .
history
The family company's first cash & carry store was opened in Hendschiken in 1966 . In 2000, on the occasion of a restructuring of the previous business activities of the Leuthold family, the pick-up markets were combined into the newly founded TopCC. In 2012, the company achieved sales of 310 million Swiss francs with around 410 employees. Thanks to the consistent expansion in recent years, which included the opening of five new pick-up markets since 2006, TopCC AG has succeeded in becoming number two in the Swiss cash-and-carry wholesale business.
Differentiating features of TopCC AG compared to other cash & carry chains in Switzerland are the longer opening times, the butcher's shop, which is unique in the Swiss cash & carry, the possibility of receiving professional advice on wine selection from a specialist wine advisor in the relevant branches and the attractiveness of the cash & carry stores, which are made possible by investments could be achieved in recent years. Dominic Möckli has been the managing director since 2013.
The sales development from 2013 onwards was definitely positive. In 2014, sales increased by 0.5 percent to 317 million Swiss francs. In 2016, the parent company announced that sales in 2015 had decreased by 2.2 percent compared to the previous year.
