Topology (electronics)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term topology or circuit topology means in electronics the circuit of the components used .

In addition to the basic circuit diagram, it includes their topological connection as an abstraction. Corresponding description is given verbally.

The topology says nothing about the dimensioning of the components or their type.

Information on topologies can be found for power amplifiers , output stages , switched-mode power supplies or rectifiers (controlled, uncontrolled), converters or inverters .

The connection of asynchronous motors (e.g. star or delta connection , star-delta switch ) is also a topology.
