Tor Bergeron

Tor Bergeron (born August 15, 1891 , † June 13, 1977 ) was a Swedish meteorologist who proposed a mechanism for the formation of precipitation in clouds ( Bergeron-Findeisen process ).

The mechanism was developed in his doctoral thesis in 1928 and published in full in 1933. The experimental confirmation was made in 1938 by Walter Findeisen .
