Torben Schiewe (born March 11, 1985 in Celle ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

After completing his youth training at SV Nienhagen , Schiewe was appointed to the national team for handicapped volleyball players. The current branch manager of MTV Eintracht Celle was internationally successful with the national team. The career highlight so far has been 3rd place at the Summer Paralympics in London 2012.

On November 7, 2012, he was honored with the Silver Laurel Leaf for his athletic achievements.

  • Award "Best Libero" at the standing volleyball world championship 2004 in Mettmann
  • Award "Most Valuable Payer" at the Beachmasters 2011 in Malaysia (standing volleyball)
  • Award "best player" at the World Cup 2011 in Cambodia (standing volleyball)
