Tord Boontje
Tord Boontje (born October 3, 1968 in Enschede ) is a Dutch product designer.
Vita
He studied industrial design at the Design Academy Eindhoven and the Royal College in London.
In 1996 he founded his own design studio in London with his wife, the British glass artist Emma Woffenden .

Boontje first became known with the "Transglass" vase series and its rough-and-ready furniture, which consisted of pieces of wood tied together and woolen blankets as upholstery. Around 2000 he turned to playful floral ornaments, which have now become his unmistakable trademark. For example his garland ('Garland') from 2002 made of laser-cut and etched metal plates.
