The peat railway in the Wurzacher Ried is a public field railway in the Wurzacher Ried in Baden-Württemberg . It drives through the reed, which is considered one of the largest contiguous raised bog areas in Central Europe.

Its tracks use the route of the field railway of the Haidgau peat plant, which was laid out in 1920 and dismantled in 1991 , of which remains of the unloading facility are still preserved.

From April to October, two days a month on three journeys with a duration of around 50 minutes, around 50 to 60 people are transported by various light rail locomotives under the sponsorship of the “Wurzen” cultural and homeland preservation association on parts of the Zeiler Torfwerk's track 500 millimeter gauge.

Among other things, there is a young locomotive and an open field railway diesel locomotive from the manufacturer Hermann Hald in Stuttgart. The 1.5 kilometer long route, starting from the Zeiler Torfwerk, over the Achkanal to the Stuttgart Lake and beyond to the Haidgauer Torfwerk, is intended to convey life and work in the Wurzacher Ried to the more than 10,000 passengers annually.

You can see old peat works and peat cuttings; the trenches are still part of the light rail line today. Historical transport wagons from the turn of the century and machines for loading can also be viewed.
