Tornant Upper
The Passage Tomb of Tornant Upper is located on the northeastern edge of a west-east running ridge with a wide view over the surrounding hilly landscape in County Wicklow , near the border with County Kildare in Ireland .
The megalithic complex consists of a round hill about 18.6 m in diameter and 1.6 m high, with an artificial ravine in the west and a 0.5 m deep and 1.0 m wide ditch on the southeast side. At the top of the hill is a 0.5 m high depression with a diameter of 1.5 m. A decorated stone now in the National Museum of Ireland is believed to have come from this site and was examined by E. Shee-Twohig in 1981. To the east are some large boulders that form a circle and may have been curbs of the hill in the past.
