Torre is a place and a former municipality in northern Portugal .
Torre belongs to the Amares district in the Braga district . The community had an area of 1.58 km² and 462 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Torre and Portela were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Torre e Portela . Torre is the seat of this newly formed municipality.
