The Torre de la Miel is a Spanish historical and now crumbling coastal watchtower with a conical base and cylindrical upper body. It is located on the shores of the Mediterranean between the beach of Molino de Papel and the Playa de las Alberquillas in the municipality of Nerja in the province of Malaga ( Andalusia ), Spain .

The tower was built in the 17th century and modified the access stairs from the 18th century. It served the artillery for surveillance and defense . In the War of Independence in 1812, the tower was partially destroyed by the British fleet during the occupation by Napoleonic troops. In December 1884 a huge earthquake shook large parts of the region and also essential parts of the coastal watchtower.
