Torry Larsen
Torry Larsen (born April 11, 1971 in Ålesund ) is a Norwegian adventurer and polar explorer.
The elite soldier met Rune Gjeldnes in 1992 , who also comes from Møre og Romsdal province .
In 1994 they went on the Umanaq Isertoq expedition in Greenland . Between March 19 and June 12, 1996, both managed to cross Greenland lengthways. They covered 2,895 kilometers in 86 days without air support.
In 2000 he and Rune Gjeldnes were the first to cross the Arctic Ocean from Severnaya Zemlya via the North Pole to Canada without further assistance as part of the Arctic Ocean 2000 expedition. It took two years to develop the special sled for this expedition.
In 2001, Larsen was back on the Gjeldnes team when they went on a paddle tour through Venezuela.
