Torsten Kirchherr

Torsten Kirchherr (born September 14, 1966 ) is a German table tennis player .

Kirchherr came from TV Bergen-Enkheim to the talent development department of FTG Frankfurt , where he trained with Thomas and Jörg Roßkopf , Hans-Jürgen Fischer and Jörg Windirsch with player-trainer Helmut Hampl . After various German championship titles in the student sector, Kirchherr became German champion in the boys' doubles in 1984. At the national ranking tournament in 1986, he finished second. He played in the Bundesliga with ATSV Saarbrücken , with whom he became German team champion in 1989.

Kirchherr later joined the TTC 1946 Weinheim and played there in the regional league until 1992. From 1996 he played for KSG Dortelweil, from 1997 for TV Großen-Linden, which he left in 2007 for TTC Dorheim. Kirchherr has been active at NSC Watzenborn / Steinberg since the 2009/2010 season and earned the nickname of the "killer machine" here, among other things through two promotions to the Hesse league.
