Torsten Siegfried Haake-Brandt

Torsten Siegfried Haake-Brandt (* 1958 in Kiel ) is a German visual artist , musician and composer .

life and work

From 1981 to 1984 Torsten Siegfried Haake-Brandt studied fine art. He has been freelance since 1984. He lives in Hamburg.

In the 1990s he created ballpoint pen drawings “nothing full of emptiness” on the subject of “boredom and managing time”. Haake-Brandt has been the owner of The BLÖ , his “utopian company for theoretical images” , since 2011 . The BLÖ is trademarked. The BÜRO BLÖ is located in Braunschweig. Haake-Brandt removes “traces” from objects and pictures that he does not like and sticks over (“suppresses”) them with brown tape .

With his sound band The BLÖ-BÄnd , Haake-Brandt plays basic color jazz and natural songs sung inward . He produces senseless sounds of the present and explores holes and cavities. In 2013 Haake-Brandt created “The BLÖ” perfume (man / woman) in collaboration with perfumer Kim Weisswange .
