The Torugart Mountains ( Kyrgyz Торугарт кырка тоо Torugart-Too ) is a mountain range along the state border between the People's Republic of China and Kyrgyzstan .
The Torugart Mountains extend south of the Chatyrköl Depression and a plateau in the catchment area of the upper Arpa over a length of about 35 km in an east-west direction. The mountain range in the Mustyr reaches a maximum height of 5108 m . On the northern slope of the main ridge, glaciers and firn fields extend in the central section and in the western part . The 3752 m high Torugart Pass crosses the lower eastern ridge .
