The Tour Jacquemart is the medieval clock tower of Moulins . It is in close proximity to the former residence of the Dukes of Bourbon . The 30 meter high tower was built in 1445 and equipped with an elaborate clockwork, which was popular at the time. Four figures ring the carillon: Jacquemart and Jacqueline, the parents , ring in the full hours, while the children, Jacquot and Jacquette, strike the quarter of an hour. Today the tower also serves as a lookout point. The building has been classified as a Monument historique since 1929 .
