The Tourmaline Plateau is a 1700 m high and ice-covered high plateau in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It lies in the center of the Deep Freeze Range and is bounded by the Howard Peaks as well as mountains and ridges extending from Mount Levick to the north-south.
The northern group of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (1965–1966) named the plateau after the tourmaline-containing granite that can be found here.
