Toutou (series)

Toutou is a series of 78 doll films with a dog , a cat and a frog . It is the German-language version of the French series La maison de Toutou, which was broadcast by ORTF from 1967. The scripts are by Georges Croses. In the regional programs of the ARD , the short films ran from 1968 as part of the program Sandmännchen . On the British BBC , the program ran from 1968 under the name Hector's House.

Toutou the dog and Susu the cat live together in an old house. The dog is represented as a typical patriarch . The frogess Kiki joins them through a hole in the wall. The women mostly band together against the dog. The dog's farewells at the end have become classic: "I'm a smart (poor, good ...) Toutou."
