The Tower Hill , historic Smith's Hill is a hill surrounded by the Sierra Leonean capital of Freetown . It reaches a height of about 110 m .
Tower Hill is known as the location of the most important state organs in the country, including the seat of the President and Parliament (since 1961). Historically, Tower Hill was the location of the bastion of Fort Thornton , built from 1792 , the seat of the governors .
The surrounding residential and business areas also bear the name Tower Hill .
