The turbidity AG was a company specializing in identification and security solutions company based in Aarau / Switzerland. In April 2015, the business activities were taken over by the Dutch Gemalto Group and transferred to a new Gemalto AG.

The company focuses on several business areas. These include the development, production and personalization of government ID cards such as identity cards , driver's licenses , data pages for passports and the SuisseID card introduced in 2010 , bank and customer cards such as SwissPass , admission and access solutions , health cards and health professional cards as well as tachograph cards . In addition, the company develops and produces also smart cards - operating systems such as combos .

The company supplies identification documents to more than 30 countries on four continents. In the financial sector, the company supplies various financial institutions, including UBS , PostFinance , all cantonal banks and Cornèr Bank in Switzerland .

Founded in 1859, the company also operated in the printing of securities and security papers from 1892 to 2005 , but sold the business to focus on card manufacturing and personalization. Trüb and Gemalto have a total of 330 employees, 300 of them in Switzerland.
