Trần Thị Yến (born September 16, 1990 ) is a Vietnamese hurdler who specializes in the 100-meter distance .
Athletic career
Trần Thị Yến gained her first international experience in 2015, when she won the bronze medal at the Southeast Asian Games in Singapore in 13.64 seconds behind Wallapa Punsoongneun from Thailand and Dedeh Erawati from Indonesia. In addition, she secured the silver medal behind Thailand with the Vietnamese 4 x 100 meter relay with a new national record of 44.77 seconds. Two years later she won the Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur in 13.40 s in the hurdles sprint and in 43.88 s with the relay, with which she set a new game and national record. In 2018 she took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time and was eliminated there with 14.10 s in the first round. In 2019 she won the silver medal behind the Indonesian Emilia Nova at the Southeast Asian Games in Capas in 13.75 seconds and won the bronze medal behind the teams from Thailand and the Philippines in 45.17 seconds.
In 2015, 2017 and 2019 Trần became Vietnamese champion in the 100 meter hurdles.
